Explain why weight loss is complex and difficult, drawing on biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors that influence weight regulation.

Describe key nutrition considerations for patients prescribed GLP‑1 agonists, including practical advice to support tolerability, nutrient adequacy, and sustainable eating patterns.

Apply consistent, evidence‑informed messaging about weight and health to support person‑centred, non‑stigmatising clinical conversations.

Identify appropriate referral pathways and referral criteria for dietitian services, including when and how to refer within the local system.

Address common myths and misconceptions about weight, nutrition, and weight‑loss treatments, supporting accurate and confidence‑building discussions with patients.
