Learning objectives

Endometrial Biopsy and Mirena insertion Practical Training

This session will equip attendees with the skills and knowledge required to counsel and manage patients presenting with AUB (abnormal uterine bleeding) - the commonest gynaecology referral into secondary care. The aim is to provide the skills and knowledge for patients wishing to manage these patients effectively in the community.

This session will cover the common causes, investigations and management of AUB. There is plenty of opportunity for questions as this is a highly interactive session.

This workshop includes the opportunity to practice endometrial biopsy (pipelle) and insertion and removal IUS on pelvic models.
