Learning objectives

From 1 May 2026, changes to the Privacy Act introduce new requirements for how general practice teams manage patient information received from other sources. This workshop provides a practical overview of IPP 3A and what it means for everyday practice.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
* Understand what IPP 3A is and what has changed from 1 May 2026
* Recognise when patient information is collected indirectly in everyday practice
* Identify practical steps your practice can take to meet the new requirements
