Immunisation Facilitator
Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH) is the Primary Health Organisation for the Nelson Tasman region. PHOs lead and coordinate primary health care within the local community.
NBPH is seeking a special person to make a difference to the health and well-being of people in the Nelson Bays region in the following role:
IMMUNISATION FACILITATOR
45 hours per fortnight or 0.6 FTE
We are looking for enthusiastic Immunisation Nurse to co-lead the immunisation service for the Nelson Bays region. This role will be responsible for ensuring that immunisation services are delivered comprehensively and effectively across primary health care providers in the Nelson Bays region.
The successful candidate will be assisting immunisation providers in Nelson Bays to maximise their immunisation coverage, develop their vaccinating workforce, promote safe delivery of viable vaccine, ensure cold chain management systems are robust, and work to achieve targets and promote immunisation, so confidence in this area is essential.
This role will be a 50:50 job share with our existing Immunisation Facilitator and is based in our Richmond Office.
We require the successful applicant have:
· NZ Registered Nurse or other NZ regulated health professional with a current practicing certificate
· At least two years recent experience in general practice and/or immunisation
· Authorised Vaccinator
· Current CPR Certificate (Level 4)
· Experience in Cold Chain Management
· Experience in advising and coordination immunisation or other healthcare services/programmes within primary care
· Experience in Practice Management systems and Immunisation delivery
· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work independently and within various teams
· Open to change and willing to adopt and initiate change
