The Medical and Injury Centre — a high performing, accredited Urgent Care Clinic just minutes from the city centre — is seeking an exceptional Medical Director to lead our talented multidisciplinary team.
With more than 29,000 patient visits every year, our clinic is a fast paced, collaborative environment where urgent care physicians, GPs, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics and HCAs work together to deliver high quality, patient centred care.
What We’re Looking For
A forward thinking clinical leader who is ready to drive excellence in urgent care.
You will be someone who:
Holds Fellowship with RNZCUC OR Urgent Care pathway
Brings strong leadership and team building capability
Can confidently lead our Urgent Care team in Nelson
Supports and mentors our General Practice workforce
Demonstrates extensive experience in acute care, including:
X ray and minor injury managemen
ECG interpretation
Community IV therapy
Holds a current APC and CORE Advanced certification
Your Commitment
64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE) - Negotiable
