Medical Director (0.8 FTE Negotiable)

The Medical and Injury Centre — a high performing, accredited Urgent Care Clinic just minutes from the city centre — is seeking an exceptional Medical Director to lead our talented multidisciplinary team.

With more than 29,000 patient visits every year, our clinic is a fast paced, collaborative environment where urgent care physicians, GPs, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics and HCAs work together to deliver high quality, patient centred care.

What We’re Looking For

A forward thinking clinical leader who is ready to drive excellence in urgent care.

You will be someone who:

  • Holds Fellowship with RNZCUC OR Urgent Care pathway

  • Brings strong leadership and team building capability

  • Can confidently lead our Urgent Care team in Nelson

  • Supports and mentors our General Practice workforce

  • Demonstrates extensive experience in acute care, including:

    • X ray and minor injury managemen

    • ECG interpretation

    • Community IV therapy

  • Holds a current APC and CORE Advanced certification

Your Commitment

  • 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE) - Negotiable

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
