Tasman Medical Centre — Skin Doctor / GP with interest in Skin— 1–2 sessions/week

Tasman Medical Centre, Richmond, Nelson is seeking a GP with a special interest and skills in skin medicine/dermatology to join our friendly, community-focused practice for 1–2 sessions per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 30-minute full skin checks or short consults for 1-3 lesions using dermoscopy

  • Perform minor skin procedures where appropriate (cryotherapy, excisions, punch/shave biopsies)

 Requirements

  • MBChB (or equivalent) and current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand

  • Demonstrated interest/experience in dermatology/skin medicine (post-graduate training, courses or significant clinical exposure preferred)

  • Competence in common skin procedures and skin cancer assessment

  • Strong communication and patient‑centred care skills

 Terms

  • 1–2 sessions per week (flexible daytime sessions; option to increase in future)

  • Competitive sessional rates on a Contractor agreement
