Nurse - Youth and School Based Health (Fixed Term 0.4 FTE)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Youth & School Based Health Service team (Fixed Term 0.4 FTE for 12 months).

This role focuses on delivering accessible, youth-friendly health services in schools, supporting rangatahi to thrive across their physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

About the Role:

You will:

  • Provide comprehensive youth health assessments, brief interventions and follow-up care

  • Support early identification of physical, mental, sexual and social health needs

  • Work closely with schools, whānau and community providers to coordinate care

  • Deliver health promotion and improve access to services for young people

  • Contribute to reducing health inequities and improving outcomes for young people

About You:

You will bring:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC

  • At least 3 years’ experience in youth, community or primary care nursing

  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and culturally safe practice

  • Experience working collaboratively across services and with young people and whānau

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
